Garden of Living Design — A Transformational Global Event Inspired by Nature, Creativity, and Community Impact
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Living Design Foundation Announces “Garden of Living Design” — A Transformational Global Event Inspired by Nature, Creativity, and Community Impact
A new cultural and philanthropic initiative is taking root.
The Living Design Foundation proudly announces its inaugural concept event, “Garden of Living Design,” a large-scale immersive experience inspired by the beauty, structure, and legacy of Longwood Gardens . Blending fashion, architecture, landscape design, and performance, the event is envisioned as a living canvas—where gardens become runways, and creativity becomes a vehicle for global impact.
At its core, the foundation is committed to designing and building nature-inspired playgrounds and gardens that foster imagination, accessibility, and community wellbeing. Proceeds from this event will directly support the development of these spaces—locally and globally—beginning with a flagship playground inspired by botanical forms, where children can climb, explore, and interact within sculptural environments modeled after flowers, leaves, and organic structures.
A Garden Transformed into a Global Stage
“Garden of Living Design” will invite thousands of guests, designers, models, and multidisciplinary creatives from around the world to gather in a shared celebration of nature-inspired design.
The event concept includes:
- Garden Runways: Meandering pathways transformed into immersive fashion experiences
- Featured Designer Showcases: Established designers presenting collections inspired by botanical and architectural forms
- Open Access Participation: Opportunities for emerging and local creatives to showcase work through curated and day-of selection formats
- Interactive Installations: Living sculptures, floral couture, and sensory environments integrated into the landscape
The experience is designed to dissolve traditional boundaries between audience and artist—allowing guests to move through a living, evolving exhibition of human expression rooted in nature.
Expanding Access Through Creative Opportunity
In alignment with the foundation’s mission, the event will prioritize inclusive participation across all levels of experience. Alongside internationally recognized designers, the platform will uplift:
- Entry-level creatives
- Local industry professionals
- Students and emerging talent
This open framework aims to cultivate a new generation of designers working at the intersection of sustainability, art, and environmental inspiration.
Reality Competition & Documentary Development
As part of the initiative, the Living Design Foundation is also developing a companion reality competition series, “Rooted in Design,” where designers from around the world will compete for a featured showcase at the main event.
The series will explore:
- Nature-based design challenges
- Sustainable material innovation
- Conceptual playground and environmental design
Winners will receive grants, global exposure, and the opportunity to contribute directly to foundation projects.
In tandem, a feature documentary—“Where Design Grows”—is in development, capturing the journey of the event, the creative process of participants, and the broader mission to reimagine public spaces through art and nature. The film is expected to pursue distribution through major platforms such as and .
Designing for Impact
Beyond the spectacle, the Living Design Foundation is rooted in tangible outcomes. Funds raised will support:
- Nature-inspired playground builds in underserved communities
- Public garden installations that integrate art and accessibility
- Collaborative design initiatives bridging disciplines and cultures
The foundation’s long-term vision is to create a global network of immersive, nature-integrated environments that support emotional wellbeing, creativity, and community connection.
Looking Ahead
While inspired by the legacy of Longwood Gardens, “Garden of Living Design” represents a broader movement—one that positions nature not only as a backdrop, but as a collaborator in human creativity.
The Living Design Foundation invites designers, partners, sponsors, and community leaders to join in shaping this visionary initiative.
